







Things to do in and around the village of Morrungulo and the neighbouring lodges.
Morrungulo is a wonderful self-catering beach holiday destination.
Please remember that we do not have a Restaurant, Bar or Swimming pool on site. (There are a number of wonderful restauarants and bars in close proximity to Morrungulo Bay and we encourage you to visit these great facilities)
These are some activities that you can pursue and enjoy at Morrungulo Bay. Please bring your own sports, fishing and leisure equipment.
- Deep Sea Fishing (The launch site is on the main beach 1.5 kms)
- Ocean Safaris ( Available from Scuba Galaxy at Bonito Bay Resort)
- Deep sea kayak fishing. (We have 3 Kayaks available)
- Kiteboarding - an idyllic destination
- Skimboarding - lovely wide and flat beaches
- Scuba Diving -There are two wonderful dive centres in close proximity to our establishment.
Scuba Galaxy - Located at Bonito Bay Lodge about 3.50 kms South of us.

- Quad biking trails ( no quad activity allowed on the property)
- Explore this palm paradise in your 4x4 (no beach driving)
- Take a day trip to Inhambane - Explore the market, buy fresh fish and prawns - park at Stop Restaurant on the Maxixe side and take a dhow trip to Pansy Island (Mtn 2500.00 for the dhow) or catch the ferry across the bay to Inhambane and explore one of the oldest trading towns in Mozambique.
- Explore Pomene -70kms - this takes about 2 hours to drive to Pomene Lodge from Morrungulo Bay (sand/gravel road) and a 4x4 or high clearance vehicle is recommended for the trip. Visit the lodge, enjoy the fantastic restaurant location, fish in the estuary or while away the day in the infinity pool with a cocktail from the adjacent bar.
Pomene is well known as an excellent fishing area.Try the estuary and the point in front of the old abandoned Portuguese hotel.
