Holiday Accommodation Booking Information, Terms & Rates (Seasonal)
Morrungulo Bay offers you an all-in competively priced self catering rate per unit including daily cleaning and servicing of your unit by our friendly maids.
There are security guards on duty 24/7.
Payment Terms - please read this carefully- Initial Payments - A 50% deposit is required upon confirmation of your booking to secure your holiday and the balance is payable on the 15th of the month preceding your arrival at Morrungulo Bay (a minimum of 30 days prior to your arrival ). Final payments not received in accordance with these terms will result in your booking being released to the next client on our waiting list and forfeiture of your deposit.
- Breakage Deposit - We will require a refundable breakage deposit payable in advance on confirmation of your booking. All breakages incurred will be recorded by our caretaker Antonio and confirmed with you prior to your departure. Unreported breakages and missing items will be recovered from your deposit.
Beach House breakage deposit - R 2,000.00 Beach Chalet breakage deposit - R 1,000.00- Provisional/Soft Bookings - We will hold your soft booking for three days pending receipt of your 50% deposit.
Should we not receive the 50% deposit payment for your booking within the stipulated time period the booking will expire at 09h00 on the third day and the unit/s will be released for bookings from other customers. *** Any booking made within the 30 days prior to your arrival is payable in full immediately together with all breakage deposits. NB. Should you require an extra single bed in a room this can be provided complete with bed linen, mosquito net and bath linen at an additional cost of R 100.00 / Night. What we supply and what is included with your self catering unit.
Electricity: (Please read - This is important information)
There is no fixed line municipal Electricity supply to Morrungulo. Our power requirements are supplied from our own diesel generators. These are regarded as a precious resource and have to be carefully maintained and controlled. The operational risk assosciated with generator failure nescessitates strict control over the generator operating times.
The generators operate daily from 07h00 to 12h00 and from 17h00 to 22h30. We will allow an additional 2 Hours of generator time daily to our guests on request at an additional cost of R45.00 per hour. We do not allow the maximum of 12 Hours per day to be exceeded.
The allowable of 10 hours per day has proven to be sufficient to maintain frozen food products.
Tips - for maintaining your frozen food:Ensure that you arrive at Morrungulo Bay with your frozen foods properly frozen. Use dry ice while travelling to ensure that your frozen goods remain frozen. Use a good quality cooler box or a plug in 12V car freezer unit. Upon your arrival at your unit we suggect that all meat and fish products are placed in the freezer part of the Fridge/Freezer as this freezer compartment seems to hold temperature better. Avoid opening the deep freezer unit repeatedly as this will lead to rapid temperature loss. Remember to set the variable temperature control dial located on the lower right side of the deep freezer to suit your individual requirements.

Linen is washed and changed every five to seven days.
IMPORTANT - Cancellation Policy: (Morrungulo Bay bookings are based on a per unit/per night rate) Morrungulo Bay has a cancellation policy in place to ensure that our occupancy levels are adequately maintained. The following terms are applicable when booking your accommodation. Cancellation up to 8 weeks prior to arrival - You will receive a Full refund Cancellation within 8 - 4 weeks prior to arrival - You will receive a 50% refund Cancellation within 4 weeks prior to your arrival - No refund will be paid. Your cancellation will only be valid once you have received a confirmation email from Morrungulo Bay.
Morrungulo Bay will attempt to secure alternative bookings for any cancelled periods. All refunds are subject to Morrungulo Bay successfully finding new occupants for your booking.
